Don't think any of the ACC schools would have jumped. At least not then. But that would make them more tempting to be B1X or SEC targets. The ACC might have imploded down the road.
Louisville, Cincy, UCF, USF & ECU would have been prime Big East targets. Heck, UCONN might have been a target years later...
Not sure how many they would have added, but if they got PSU, then anyone else would have been OK. If my memory serves me correctly, JoePa wanted to form an eastern athletic conference, but was spurned by several schools.
Interesting to ponder...
